17th century filigree silver pendant

Silver filigree pendant with a central medallion in vermeil made according to the traditional technique of filigree, typical of Spanish craftsmanship of the seventeenth century and presents a meticulous work of interlaced silver threads creating intricate and detailed openwork patterns. On the front a representation of Saint George fighting a dragon symbolizing bravery and faith. On the back a delicate scene depicts the Virgin and Child evoking maternal tenderness and divine protection.
