Oil on canvas “Saint Michael slaying the demon”
The fight of the Archangel Saint Michael against the demon is evoked in the Apocalypse of Saint John (12-7).
In the center of the painting, the Archangel Saint Michael, is standing balanced on his right leg resting on the back of the prostrate demon at the bottom of the painting; the archangel who wears ancient armor points his spear, held in both hands, towards the demon equipped with strange horns and snakeskin wings: he is in the lower part of the painting in a brown area of rocks while the archangel has, in the background, an architectural motif.
